Francisco Goya’s "The sleep of reason produces monsters" is a part of a series of allegorical, satirical and humorous drawings having human vices and miseries as subjects. The appropriation of this
title, in this case, serves to represent a series of heterogeneous collections which, not only take to extremes the idea of contemporary allegory, but also bring to light compulsions, obsessive repetitions and claustrophobic accumulations typical of our society.
