monuments is a series of sculptures composed by ordinary objects mostly reproduced in marble or stone. In these hyper-realistic sculptures, the material is moulded to depict our daily life objects’ shapes; thus it disappears, transforming itself into a symbol.

Tools #2 is inspired to “Il Troncio Della Val Clavicola”, by Raimondo Vianello and Ugo Tognazzi, an ironic comedy sketch in which an awkward wood craftsman, interviewed by an impeccable journalist, tells what he does to support his family: carving by hand a single toothpick from a huge tree-trunk.
